About the YFS Journalism & Media Team


What is the YFS Journalism & Media Team?

Successful graduates from the YFS Sports Journalism & Media Online Course will be invited to join our flagship programme. Youth Football Scotland is an award winning not-for-profit social enterprise, which was founded in 2010. The YFS Journalism & Media Team is a unique initiative, that provides opportunities for aspiring sports media professionals. The programme offers media enthusiasts of all ages and abilities the chance to build their portfolio whilst providing coverage the makes a genuine difference to sport at grassroots level. It's win-win.

Where can this training programme lead to?

As you can see, the programme is directly linked to YFS Media. We are delighted to offer a wide range of paid work opportunities to YFS Journalism & Media Team graduates on a weekly basis. Some are freelance and others have progressed into permanent employment. Outside of YFS Media, we are proud to have watched many of our team members progress into professional sports media roles elsewhere. Here's a selection of our alumni:
